Councillor Donna Blunt Page 1 of 7 Regular Council September 26, 2017 THAT the Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council held September 12, 2017 be adopted as circulated and that same be filed in the Clerk's Office.

Councillor Donna Blunt THAT Council hereby receives the Minutes of Shuniah Police Service Board held June 15, 2017 and a copy of same be filed in the Clerk's Office.

Duff Stewart THAT Council hereby receives a copy of the Shuniah Police Services Board Report June 1-August 31, 2017 and same be filed in the Clerk's Office.

Councillor Duff Stewart That Council directs the Clerk to bring the draft By- law forward as it applies to the Site Specific amendment to Lots 5, 6 and 7 Plan 759 under application Z 6/16. And further that the by-law as presented at the meeting of August 8, 2017 has not changed.

Councillor Donna Blunt THAT Council hereby receives the report regarding the request to award a Sole Source Contract to Intelivote Systems Inc. and directs the Clerk to bring forward a by-law to enter into an agreement with Intelivote to conduct the 2018 Electronic Election for the Municipality of Shuniah.

Councillor Duff Stewart THAT Council receives the report from the Fire Chief dated September 20 2017 and hereby appoints the following persons as a member of the Shuniah Fire Department. Ryden Tucker

Councillor Duff Stewart THAT Council hereby authorizes the Fire Chief to attend the Northwestern Ontario Regional Chapter Municipal Law Enforcement Officer Meeting & Training in Fort Frances Oct 26th & 27th 2017 and that his expenses be paid according to policy.

Councillor Donna Blunt THAT Council hereby wishes to further investigate the possibility of appointing the Clerk to officiate Civil Wedding Ceremonies AND FURTHER authorizes the Clerk to attend a one day workshop in Mississauga on October 17, 2017 on Officiating Civil Wedding Ceremonies and that her expenses be paid according to policy.

Councillor Duff Stewart THAT Council hereby awards the External Audit position to Grant Thornton effective 2017 in the amount of $13,500 plus 7% administration fees plus HST.

Councillor Don Smith THAT Council hereby receives the report from Jason Evans, CEDO AND further that Council approves an application to the Northern Communities Investment Readiness (NCIR) for the Community Profile project that requires a financial contribution of $3,600.00 from the Municipality AND that the Municipality will cover any cost overruns. Duff Stewart BE IT RESOLVED THAT A By-law to authorize the Mayor and Clerk to enter into a Notification Agreement between the Municipality of Shuniah and John Hansen and Patricia Ann Gardner and a site specific zoning amendment as it applies to Lots 5,6,7, Plan 759 is hereby read a third time this 26th day of September, 2017.

Councillor Donna Blunt THAT Council hereby receives a copy of the list of Unfinished Business dated 2017, and that same be filed in the Clerk’s Office.

Councillor Donna Blunt THAT, in accordance with Section 239(2) of the Municipal Act, we adjourn at the hour of 4:44 p.m. to meet in closed session to discuss: a) to discuss identifiable individuals

Duff Stewart THAT Council hereby appoints the following person to sit on the Ad Hoc Committee to review the Servicing Options Study for the Municipality's Draft Official Plan: Bill Paul

Councillor Don Smith THAT a By-law to confirm the proceedings of Council be read a First, Second and Third time on this day of 26th day of September, 2017 and Numbered 2979-17; AND THAT the said By-law be engrossed in the By-law Book.
