Regular Council

THAT this Regular Meeting of Council is hereby called to order at 4 p.m.

THAT the agenda be accepted as presented.

THAT the Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council held on October 24, 2017 be adopted as circulated and that same be filed in the Clerk's Office as well as Special Town Hall Meeting October 24, 2017.

THAT Council hereby receives a copy of the Shuniah Police Services Board Minutes of the Meeting held September 30th, 2017 and the OPP Sept 18th, 2017 Report and same be filed in the Clerk's Office

Giardetti THAT Council hereby receives the Building Permit Summary ending October 2017 and a copy be filed in the Clerk's Office.

Giardetti That the Clerk is hereby directed to bring forward a by-law to authorize the sale of the Shoreline Road Allowance as described in Reference Plan 55R- 14329, Part 1 lying in front of Lot 30, Plan 755 (1323 Silver Beach Drive).

Stewart That the Clerk is hereby directed to bring forward a by-law to authorize the sale of the Shoreline Road Allowance as described in Reference Plan 55R- 14262, Part 1 lying in front of Lot 3, Plan 743 (1377 Silver Beach Drive).

Giardetti THAT Council hereby directs the Clerk to proceed with the Amendment to By-law 2500-10 to remove a Holding Provision to Phase 1 Stages 1 and 2 (as amended) pursuant to the Planning Act Regulations; AND FURTHER THAT Council will consider this by-law at the December 12, 2017 Regular Meeting

Giardetti THAT Council does hereby direct the Municipal Clerk to prepare a Municipal By-Law authorizing the Clerk and Mayor to enter into an agreement with Automotive Material Stewardship Inc. (AMS) for services related to the collection and management of used oil filters, used oil containers, used antifreeze and its containers.

Smith THAT Council hereby awards the project for an Outdoor Electronic Message Board at the MacGregor Recreation Centre to Access Signs Inc. in the amount of $30,040.61 excluding HST.

Smith THAT Council hereby receives a copy of the Quarterly Financial Statements ending October 2017

Giardetti THAT Council hereby receives a copy of the Monthly Expenditures for October 2017

THAT A by-law to authorize the Municipality to enter into an agreement with Automotive Materials Stewardship Inc. (AMS) is deemed to have been read a First and Second time this 14th day of November, 2017

BE IT RESOLVED THAT A by-law to authorize the Municipality to enter into an agreement with Automotive Materials Stewardship Inc. (AMS), is deemed to have been read a Third and Final time this 14th Day of November 2017, and numbered 2985-17; AND THAT the said by-law be engrossed in the By-law Book

Blunt THAT A by-law to authorize the sale of the shoreline road allowance Lot 30 Plan 755 1323 Silver Beach is deemed to have been read a First and Second Time this 14th day of November 2017.

Stewart THAT A by-law to authorize an agreement with Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation NOHFC is deemed to have been read a First and Second Time this 14th Day of November 2017.

Blunt THAT Council hereby receives the following items of General Correspondence a) Energy East Thank You

Giardetti THAT Council hereby receives a copy of the list of Unfinished Business dated November 8, 2017, and that same be filed in the Clerk’s Office.

THAT the following persons are hereby authorized to attend the 2018 FCM Annual Conference and Trade Show- May 31-June 3, 2018 in Halifax, Nova Scotia and that their expenses be paid according to Policy: Duff Stewart Wendy Landry

Giardetti THAT a By-law to confirm the proceedings of Council be read a First, Second and Third time on this day of 14th day of November 2017 and Numbered 2989-17. AND THAT the said By-law be engrossed in the By-law Book.
