THAT this Regular Meeting of Council is hereby called to order at 4:00 pm

THAT the agenda be accepted as presented with the following additions and rearrangement of matters on the agenda. addition for discussion of the Northern Cardiac Care Fund and move the matter related under item 7 d) i) and e) i) earlier in the meeting. Page 1 of 10 Regular Council June 11, 2018

THAT the Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council held May 22, 2018 be adopted as circulated and that same be filed in the Clerk's Office.

THAT Council hereby receives a copy of the Lakehead Region Conservation Authorities 2017 audited financial statements and a copy of same be filed in the Clerk's Office.

THAT Council hereby receives a copy of the following Tender Opening Committee Minutes May 17, 2018 for Winter Control Sand and Roadside Brushing and grass cutting, May 24, 2018 Sale of Surplus Equipment and June 7, 2018 Scott Drive Culvert Replacement

That Council receives the report from Shuniah Fire & Emergency Services for comment and direction of dispatch protocol.

Stewart THAT Council hereby authorizes Epic Cones Ice Cream Truck the use of Wild Goose Park during the months of June, July and August of 2018; AND FURTHER THAT Council directs the CAO to develop and execute an operating agreement with Epic Cones, establishing the hours of operation, location within the park, insurance and any other parameters necessary in order to maintain the general enjoyment and safety of the park by its patrons.

Smith THAT Council hereby directs the Clerk to bring forward a by-law to authorize the Mayor and Clerk to discharge easements on title to portions of land being transferred to the Ministry of Transportation for their Highway 11/17 4-lane project which easements gave rights to the Municipality for access to gravel on property with no aggregate pit or viable aggregate source.

Stewart THAT Council hereby approves the purchase of a utility terrain vehicle UTV and further accepts the quote submitted by J&J Sports for the purchase of a 2018 Polaris Ranger 500 cc model in the amount of $9,911.50 plus HST.

Smith THAT Council hereby awards the tender for R2018-03 Winter Control Sand , to Esko Savela & Son Contracting in the amount of $48,480.00 excl. HST

Stewart THAT Council hereby awards the tender for R2018-04 Roadside Grass Cutting & Brushing, to Aegis Group in the amount of $18,645.00 incl. HST

Smith THAT Council hereby awards the tender for the replacement of the culvert on Scott Drive to Pete's Backhoe Service for the total tendered price (including HST) of $ 518,697.97.

Smith THAT Council hereby receives the January to April 2018 Actual Budget Treasurer's report and a copy of same be filed in the Clerk's Office

Giardetti THAT Council hereby receives the May 2018 Monthly Expenditures and a copy of same be filed in the Clerk's Office.

Blunt THAT Council hereby receives the January to April 2018 Revenue and Expenses Report and a copy of same be filed in the Clerk's Office.

Blunt THAT A by-law to authorize the execution of documents for the discharge of a easement or easements on property being sold to the Ministry of Transportation for their Highway 11/17 4 lane project is hereby deemed to be read a First and Second time this 11th day of June 2018

Blunt THAT Council hereby receives a copy of the list of Unfinished Business dated June 7, 2018 and that same be filed in the Clerk’s Office.

Giardetti THAT Council hereby directs the Mayor to undertake discussions with Mrs. Klukie to better decide the delegation of funds in the Josh Klukie Memorial Fund being held by the Municipality and to discuss with Adminstration a method to formalize the distribution of these assets.

Giardetti THAT the following persons are hereby authorized to attend the 2018 AMO annual general conference being held in Ottawa August 19-22 Page 8 of 10 Regular Council June 11, 2018 2018 and that their expenses be paid according to policy AND FURTHER THAT the following delegations be arranged and pertinent materials be prepared for same. Blunt THAT, in accordance with Section 239(2) of the Municipal Act, we adjourn at the hour of 7:00 pm to meet in closed session to discuss a) To discuss Labour Relations- Discussions pertaining to the Collective Agreement and pending bargaining.

Blunt THAT at the hour of 7:20 pm Council resumes the open meeting.
