Regular Council

THAT this Regular Meeting of Council is hereby called to order at 4:00 pm

THAT the agenda be accepted as presented.

THAT the Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council held June 26, 2018 be adopted as circulated and that same be filed in the Clerk's Office.

THAT Council hereby receives a copy of the Police Services Board Minutes of the meeting held May 16, 2018 and same be filed in the Clerk's Office.

Smith THAT Council hereby appoints Tony Pacifico as a Municipal Law Enforcement Officer AND FURTHER directs to Clerk to bring forward a by-law to set out the terms and conditions of employment.

Stewart THAT Council hereby receives the report from the Clerk and supports Administration in the application of By-law 2608-12 for the requirement of site plans to be established based on registered surveys showing individual sites for all building permit applications. Smith That the Clerk is hereby directed to bring forward a by-law to authorize the sale of the Shoreline Road Allowance in front of Lot 15 Plan 765 2247 Amethyst Avenue

Stewart THAT Council hereby receives the Notice of Hydro One and their request for comments regarding the relocation of towers along Hwy 11/17 in Shuniah AND FURTHER THAT staff and Council have reviewed the proposed new locations and have no comment at this time.

Smith THAT Council herby authorizes Hydro One Network Inc operating as Hydro One to enter onto Municipal Lands for the purpose of survey work for the Lake Superior Link Transmission Project; AND FURTHER authorizes the Clerk to sign the authorization forms on behalf of the Municipality.

Page 4 of 7 Regular Council July 10, 2018 Stewart THAT Council hereby authorizes the appointment of Ryan LePage to the Shuniah Fire and Emergency Services Department as firefighter.

Donna Blunt THAT Council hereby directs the Clerk to include on every Regular Meeting of Council's Agenda that after the Moment of Silence a declaration that the Municipality of Shuniah acknowledges that we are in the Robinson-Superior Treaty territory and that the land on which we gather is the traditional territory of the Anishnaabeg and the Métis.

Giardetti THAT A by-law to authorize the sale of shoreline road allowance 1771 Mackenzie Beach Avenue be read a First and Second time this 10th day of July, 2018

Blunt BE IT RESOLVED THAT A by-law to authorize the sale of shoreline road allowance 1771 Mackenzie Beach Avenue is read a Third and Final time this 10th day of July 2018 and numbered 3027-18 AND THAT THE said by-law be engrossed in the By-law book.

Giardetti THAT Council hereby receives a copy of the list of Unfinished Business and that same be filed in the Clerk’s Office.

Blunt THAT a By-law to confirm the proceedings of Council be read a First, Page 6 of 7 Regular Council July 10, 2018 Second and Third time on this 10th day of July, 2018 and Numbered 3028-18 AND THAT the said By-law be engrossed in the By-law Book.
