Regular Council

THAT this Regular Meeting of Council is hereby called to order at 4:00 p.m.

THAT the agenda be accepted as presented.

THAT the Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council held September 24, 2019 be adopted as circulated and that same be filed in the Clerk's Office

THAT Council hereby receives a copy of minutes for the Thunder Bay District Health Unit Board meeting held June 19, 2019 and same be filed in the Clerk's Office

THAT Council hereby receives a copy of the minutes of the Tender Opening Committee held November 2, 2018, November 23, 2018, February 7, 2019, April 18, 2019, May 6, 2019, May 24, 2019, June 3, 2019 and June 21, 2019 and the same be filed in the Clerk's Office

THAT Council hereby receives a copy of the September Building Permit Summary report and the same be filed in the Clerk's Office.

THAT Council hereby awards the 2019 Annual Bridge Inspections to TBT Engineering in the amount of $2,200.00 excluding HST.

THAT Council hereby receives the Monthly Fire Department Report and appoints Shana Godin, Maeve Allore and Lucas Restoule as members to Shuniah Fire & Emergency Services and same be filed in the Clerk's Office

THAT Council approves the early closure of the Municipal Office, Public Works Shop and Fire Department Administration from December 24th up to and including New Years Day; AND THAT regular business will recommence on January 2, 2020; AND FURTHER THAT the Public Works Staff and Fire Personnel are available throughout this time line as required.

THAT Council hereby receives a copy of the September Monthly Expenditure report and the same be filed in the Clerk's Office.

THAT Council receives the Township of Zora Resolution: Member of Upper Thames River Conservation Authority and same be filed in the Clerk's Office

THAT Council receives the Municipality of Chatham-Kent Resolution regarding provincial funding cuts to Legal Aid Ontario and same be filed in the Clerk's Office

THAT Council receives the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing Building Code Services report and same be filed in the Clerk's Office

THAT Council receives the Thunder Bay and Area Food Strategy funding request letter and same be filed in the Clerk's Office

THAT Council hereby receives a copy of the list of Unfinished Business dated October 8, 2019, and that same be filed in the Clerk’s Office.

THAT at the hour of 5:02 p.m. Council moves to closed In-Camera meeting to discuss Legal and Personnel Matters.

THAT at the hour of 6:32 p.m. Council hereby resumes the meeting in open session.

THAT a By-law to confirm the proceedings of Council be read a First, Second and Third time on this 8th day of October 2019 and Numbered 3087-19 AND THAT the said By-law be engrossed in the By-law Book.

THAT the hour of 6:35 p.m. having arrived this regular Meeting of Council hereby adjourns.
