Regular Council

THAT this Regular Meeting of Council is hereby called to order at 4:07 p.m.

THAT the agenda be accepted as presented.

THAT the Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council held October 22, 2019 be adopted as circulated and that same be filed in the Clerk's Office.

THAT Council hereby receives a copy of the Tender Committee Opening minutes held October 22, 2019 and the same be filed in the Clerk's Office.

THAT Council hereby receives a copy of the Shuniah Police Services Board minutes for the meeting held September 16, 2019 and the same be filed in the Clerk's Office

THAT Council hereby receives a copy of the OPP Monthly report and the same be filed in the Clerk's Office

That Council hereby receives a copy of the October Fire Department report and the same be filed in the Clerk's Office b) New Volunteer Firefighter That Council hereby authorizes the appointment of Tim Hill to the Shuniah Fire & Emergency Services Department as a volunteer firefighter

THAT Council hereby receives from Shuniah Fire & Emergency Services the report for the RFQ of 2019 Supply & Deliver a Review & Revamp of the Shuniah Emergency Response Plan and the same be filed in the Clerk's Office AND FURTHER THAT Council hereby awards the project to Phoenix Emergency Management Logic in the amount of $7,815 plus HST

THAT Council hereby receives a copy of the October Monthly Expenditure report and the same be filed in the Clerk's Office

THAT the Council of the Municipality of Shuniah does hereby direct that any surplus funds derived at year end be transferred to working fund reserves; AND FURTHER THAT the Treasurer is hereby authorized to transfer funds not expended in the fiscal Capital Budget which are still required to complete capital projects be set up in a reserve fund for that purpose.

THAT Council hereby receives the Thunder Bay District Health Unit minutes from September 18, 2019 and the same be filed in the Clerk's Office

THAT Council hereby receives the Letter to Council from the Minister of Finance and the same be filed in the Clerk's Office

THAT Council hereby receives a copy of the Lakehead Region Conservation Board minutes from September 25, 2019 and the same be filed in the Clerk's Office

THAT Council hereby receives a copy of the list of Unfinished Business dated November 4, 2019, and that same be filed in the Clerk’s Office.

THAT Council hereby agrees to pay the expenses for the following that attended the Indigenous 101 training held in Conmee on Thursday, October 17, 2019 as per policy 1. Wendy Landry 2. Donna Blunt 3. Ron Giardetti 4. Don Smith 5. Duff Stewart

THAT a By-law to confirm the proceedings of Council be read a First, Second and Third time on this 4th day of November 2019 and Numbered 3090-19 AND THAT the said By-law be engrossed in the By-law Book.

THAT the hour of 5:17 p.m. having arrived this regular Meeting of Council hereby adjourns.
