Regular Council

THAT this Regular Meeting of Council is hereby called to order at 4:02 p.m.

THAT the agenda be accepted as presented.

THAT the Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council held February 11, 2020 be adopted as circulated and that same be filed in the Clerk's Office.

THAT Council hereby receives a copy of the Shuniah Police Service Board minutes from the meeting held January 28, 2020 and the same be filed in the Clerk's Office

THAT Council hereby receives a copy of the OPP January Monthly Report and the same be filed in the Clerk's Office

Smith THAT Council hereby receives a copy of the February Building Permit Summary and the same be filed in the Clerk's Office.

Giardetti THAT Council hereby receives the reports from LRCA and MECP on ground water monitoring and the same be filed in the Clerk's Office

Smith THAT Council hereby receives a copy of the Fire Department Water Tanker Usage report and the same be filed in the Clerk's Office.

Giardetti THAT Council hereby receives a copy of the Enbridge Community Expansion report of anticipated submission requirements and council directs administration to prepare a support letter for Shuniah to support the expansion

Smith THAT Council hereby receives the reports from LRMC for Secretarial Duties, LRMC Rural Action Plan and the OMPF Reform report to be sent to the Ministry of Finance and THAT Council hereby agrees to the yearly payment for LRMC Secretarial Duties at a cost of $800.00 per year and the same be filed in the Clerk's Office.

Giardetti THAT Council hereby receives a copy of the February Monthly Expenditure report and the same be filed in the Clerk's Office

Stewart THAT Council hereby receives a copy of the 2019 Council Remuneration Summary and the same be filed in the Clerk's Office

Blunt THAT a By-law to authorize a maintenance agreement for a 3 year term with ORNGE is deemed to have been read a First and Second Time this 10th day of March 2020.

Blunt THAT a By-law to authorize a maintenance agreement for a 3 year term with ORNGE is deemed to have been read and Third and Final time this 10th day of March 2020 and numbered 3105-20; AND THAT the said By-law be engrossed in the By-law book.

Stewart THAT A By-law to authorize the sale of the shoreline road allowance to the owners of Lots 29 & 30, Plan 765, 2223 Amethyst Beach Avenue, being Parts 1 & 2 of Reference Plan 55R-14641 be read a First and Second time this 10th day of March 2020.

Blunt BE IT RESOLVED THAT A By-law to authorize the sale of the shoreline road allowance to the owners of Lots 29 & 30, Plan 765, 2223 Amethyst Beach Avenue, being Parts 1 & 2 of Reference Plan 55R-14641 be read a Third and Final time and numbered 3104-20 AND THAT the by-law be engrossed in the by-law book.

Stewart THAT Council hereby receives a copy of the following general correspondence: - Conservation Authority - MECP Broader Consultations Reports - Proposal to Amend O.Reg 244/97 and Aggregate Resources of Ontario - TBDSSAB general meeting minutes from January 9, 2020 - Proposed new aggregate permit for Loon #72 - Provincial Policy statement 2020 from Minister Steve Clark - LRCA Annual Minutes from January 29, 2020 - Thunder Bay District Health Unit Board minutes for both annual meeting and regular meeting held January 15, 2020 - TBDSSAB 2020-2023 Strategic Letter and Strategic plan. and the same be filed in the Clerk's Office.

Blunt THAT Council hereby receives a copy of the list of Unfinished Business dated March 2, 2020, and that same be filed in the Clerk’s Office.

Stewart THAT at the hour of 5:16 p.m. Council moved In-Camera closed meeting to discuss personnel and legal issues.

Blunt THAT at the hour of 5:34 p.m. Council hereby resumes the regular meeting in open session.

Stewart THAT a By-law to confirm the proceedings of Council be read a First, Second and Third time on this 10th day of March 2020 and Numbered 3106-20 AND THAT the said By-law be engrossed in the By-law Book.
