Regular Council

THAT this Regular Meeting of Council is hereby called to order at 4:05 p.m.

Chomut THAT the agenda be accepted as presented.

THAT the Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council held March 23, 2021 be adopted as circulated and that same be filed in the Clerk's Office.

Chomut THAT Council hereby receives a copy of the Shuniah Police Services Board minutes from the meeting held February 16, 2021 and the same be filed in the Clerk's Office.

Smith THAT Council hereby receives the Tender Opening Committee Minutes held March 30, 2021 and the same be filed in the Clerk's Office.

Blunt THAT Council hereby receives the Tender Opening Committee Minutes held April 6, 2021 and the same be filed in the Clerk's Office.

Blunt THAT Council hereby receives the March Building Permit Summary and the same be filed in the Clerk's office.

Meghan Chomut THAT the Clerk is hereby directed to prepare a by-law to deem Lots 22 and 23 Registered Plan 694 not to be a Registered Plan of Subdivision in accordance with Section 50 (4) of the Planning Act; AND THAT any costs associated with preparation and/or registration the by-law shall be borne by the applicants.

Meghan Chomut THAT Council hereby receives the information related to a request for a Zoning By-law amendment on property located at 2673 Birch Beach Road; AND THAT the Clerk is hereby directed to prepare a By-law to permit a Zoning By-law amendment on the above noted property; and further to set a public meeting for input on the proposed Zoning By-law amendment.

Smith THAT Council hereby receives the reports from the Manager of Operations and that a contract for the Supply and Delivery of One (1) New 60,000 lb. GVW Cab & Chassis Tandem Truck be awarded to Maxim Truck Sales in the amount of $259,800.00 plus HST and the same be filed in the Clerk's Office.

Donna Blunt THAT Council hereby receives the reports from the Manager of Operations and that a contract for 2021 Asphalt Pavement Crack Sealing be awarded to Northern Sealants Inc. in the amount of $35,720.00 excluding HST and the same be filed in the Clerk's Office.

Don Smith THAT Council receives the Fire Safety Grant Program information and same be filed at the Clerks' Office.

Meghan Chomut THAT Council receives the following report and the same be filed at the Clerk's Office; AND THAT Council directs staff to request authority at the earliest date available.

Blunt THAT Council hereby receives the Property Tax Sale Report for information purposes and the same be filed in the Clerk's Office

Chomut THAT A By-law to authorize the Deeming of Lots 22 and 23, Plan 694 be read a First and Second time this 13th day of April 2021.

THAT A By-law to authorize the Deeming of Lots 22 and 23, Plan 694, be read a Third and Final time and be numbered 3170-21. AND THAT the said by-law be engrossed in the by-law book.

Blunt THAT A By-law to enter into an Agreement with the Office of the Fire Marshall be read a First and Second time this 13th day of April 2021.

Smith THAT A By-law to enter into an Agreement with the Office of the Fire Marshall be read a Third and Final time and be numbered 3171-21. AND THAT the said bylaw be engrossed in the By-law book.

THAT Council hereby receives the following general correspondence a. OPP Monthly Report February 2021 b. Niagara Motion respecting Homelessness, Mental Health and Addiction c. Town of Fort Erie Support for City of Sarnia - Advocate the Province of Ontario to Adjust the Capacity Limits as part of the COVID-19 Colour Coded System. d. Town of Fort Erie support for Township of Brock resolution regarding Cannabis Licencing and Enforcement. e. Town of Fort Erie supported Town of Lincoln resolution regarding McNally House Hospice Life in Every Moment Campaign. f. Compliance Results with Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act and that same be filed in the Clerk's Office.

Chomut THAT Council hereby receives a copy of the list of Unfinished Business dated April 8, 2021, and that same be filed in the Clerk’s Office.

THAT at the hour of 5:17 pm Council hereby resumes the regular meeting in open session.

Blunt THAT a By-law to confirm the proceedings of Council be read a First, Second and Third time on this 13th day of April 2021 and Numbered 3172-21 AND THAT the said By-law be engrossed in the By-law Book.
