Regular Council

THAT this Regular Meeting of Council is hereby called to order at 4:00 pm

THAT the agenda be accepted as presented.

THAT the Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council held March 22, 2022 be adopted as circulated and that same be filed in the Clerk's Office.

THAT the Minutes of the Special Meeting of Council held April 4, 2022 be adopted as circulated and that same be filed in the Clerk's Office.

THAT Council hereby receives a copy of the March Building Permit Summary and the same be filed in the Clerk's Office.

THAT the Clerk is hereby directed to prepare a by-law to deem Lots A, B, C & D of Registered Plan M80 not to be a Registered Plan of Subdivision in accordance with Section 50 (4) of the Planning Act; AND THAT any costs associated with preparation and/or registration the by-law shall be borne by the applicants.

THAT Council hereby receives the information related to a request for a Zoning By-law amendment on property located at 546 East Loon Road; AND THAT the Clerk is hereby directed to prepare a By-law to permit a Zoning By-law amendment on the above noted property; and further to set a public meeting for input on the proposed Zoning By-law amendment.

THAT Council hereby receives the information related to a request for a Zoning By-law amendment on property located at 1947 Crystal Beach Avenue; AND THAT the Clerk is hereby directed to prepare a By-law to permit a Zoning By-law amendment on the above noted property; and further to set a public meeting for input on the proposed Zoning By-law amendment.

THAT Council hereby receives the information related to a request for a Zoning By-law amendment on property located at 2230 Amethyst Avenue; AND DIRECT the Clerk to contact the applicant for additional information.

THAT Council hereby receives a copy of the April 4, 2022 Special Meeting with Association Representatives and directs staff to develop a new working Committee for Association Development, consisting of eight representative, one from each association, member of council, municipal staff, one staff and planner, to be implemented in May 2022. ASAP.

THAT Council hereby receives the report and approves the replacement of the manual porta-pond lift with a hydraulic lift on Tanker #55 due to safety concerns, and the same be filed in the Clerk's Office.

THAT Council hereby receives the Pregnancy and Parental Leave for Council Policy for review and the same be filed in the Clerk's Office.

THAT Council hereby receives the Telephone/Internet Voting Election Policies and Procedures for the 2022 Ontario Municipal Elections Report for review, AND THAT the Clerk is hereby directed to prepare a By-law for the Telephone/Internet Voting Election Policies and Procedures for the 2022 Ontario Municipal Elections.

That Council hereby receives a copy of the Memo regarding the Post-Election Training for Municipal Councillors and Head of Council 2022 and the same be filed in the Clerk’s Office.

THAT Council hereby receives the new cell tower information and the lease termination request from TBaytel and the same be filed in the Clerk’s Office.

THAT Council hereby receives a copy of the Sunrise Beach Drive Drainage Appeal memo and the same be filed in the Clerk's office.

THAT Council hereby receives a copy of the January to March 2022 financial statements and memo and the same be filed in the Clerk's Office.

THAT A By-law to authorize the Deeming of Lots A, B, C & D, Plan M80 be read a First and Second time this 25th day of April 2022.

THAT A By-law to authorize the Deeming of Lots A, B, C & D, Plan M80, be read a Third and Final time and be numbered 3231-22. AND THAT the said by-law be engrossed in the by-law book.

THAT a By-law for the Telephone/Internet Voting Election Policies and Procedures for the 2022 Ontario Municipal Elections be read a First and Second time this 25th day of April 2022;

BE IT RESOLVED THAT a By-law for the Telephone/Internet Voting Election Policies and Procedures for the 2022 Ontario Municipal Elections be read a Third and Final time and numbered 3232-22; AND THE SAID By-law be engrossed in the By-law book.

THAT Council hereby receives the following correspondence: a. Town of Gravenhurst - Floating Accommodations Resolution b. Town of Bracebridge - Request for AMO to Review Challenges re OLT c. Township of Mulmer - More Homes for Everyone Act Resolution d. Municipality of Clarington - Zoning By-Law Review Resolution e. Municipality of Grey Highlands - HST Rebate on New Homes Resolution f. Lakehead Region Conservation Authority - February Board Meeting Minutes g. Town of Georgina - Federal Government Sanctions Imposed on Russia Resolution and the same be filed in the Clerk's Office.

THAT Council hereby receives a copy of the list of Unfinished Business dated April 21 2022, and that same be filed in the Clerk’s Office.

THAT at the hour of 5:25 pm Council moves into In-Camera Session.

THAT at the hour of 6:15 pm Council hereby resumes the meeting in open session.

THAT a By-law to confirm the proceedings of Council be read a First, Second and Third time on this 25th day of April 2022 and Numbered 3233-22 AND THAT the said By-law be engrossed in the By-law Book.

THAT the hour of 6:15 p.m. having arrived this regular Meeting of Council hereby adjourns.
