Regular Council

THAT this Regular Meeting of Council is hereby called to order at 4:15 p.m.

THAT the agenda be accepted as presented.

THAT the Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council held the 12th of December 2022, be adopted as circulated and that same be filed in the Clerk's Office.

THAT the Minutes of the Closed Meeting of Council held on the below dates be adopted as circulated and that same be filed in the Clerk's Office. November 8, 2022 November 22, 2022 October 11, 2022 October 18, 2022 December 12, 2022

THAT Council hereby receives the December Building Permit Summary and the same be filed in the Clerk's Office.

THAT Council hereby receives a copy of the draft agenda for the Thunder Bay District Municipal League Conference and Sponsorship package and directs staff to register for the sponsorship level of Refreshment Break AND THAT the same be filed in the Clerk's Office.

THAT Council hereby authorizes Ron Giardetti to attend the Rural Ontario Municipal Association (ROMA) Conference being held January 22 to 24, 2023 at the Sheraton Centre Hotel in Toronto; FURTHER THAT Council directs staff to make hotel reservations for the nights of January 22 and 23, 2023; AND THAT his expenses be paid in accordance to policy.

THAT Council hereby receives the following correspondence: a. Correspondence re: Bill 3 Municipality of Greenstone - Resolution re Bill 3 Town of Cobourg - Resolution re Bill 3 b. Correspondence re: Bill 23 Municipality of North Perth - Letter re Bill 23 Municipality of Centre Hastings - Letter re Bill 23 City of Kingston - Letter re Bill 23 c. City of Kingston - Motion re Resource Recovery and Circular Economy d. TBDSSAB - Update from the Board e. LRCA - October Board Meeting Minutes f. Letter from Greenmantle Forest re: Black Ash and the same be filed in the Clerk's Office.

THAT Council hereby receives a copy of the list of Unfinished Business dated January 5, 2023, and that same be filed in the Clerk’s Office.

Blunt, seconded by Councillor Meghan Chomut Administration bring back a letter regarding Bill 3 Strong Mayor Building Homes Act

THAT at the hour of 4:30 p.m. Council moves into In-Camera Session.

THAT at the hour of 4:34 p.m. Council hereby resumes the meeting in open session.

THAT Council hereby appoints Olivia Kembel as the Student Councillor for the February through June 2023 term, AND THAT Council directs staff to contact the applicant to be present at the next Council meeting on January 31, 2023 AND THAT applicable expenses be paid according to Policy.

THAT a By-law to confirm the proceedings of Council be read a First, Second and Third time on this 10th day of January 2023 and Numbered 3277-23 AND THAT the said By-law be engrossed in the By-law Book.

THAT the hour of 4:37 p.m. having arrived this regular Meeting of Council hereby adjourns.
