Regular Council

THAT this Regular Meeting of Council is hereby called to order at 4:00 p.m.

THAT the agenda be accepted as presented.

THAT the Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council held February 27, 2024 be adopted as circulated and that same be filed in the Clerk's Office.

THAT the Minutes of the Closed Meeting of Council held February 27, 2024 be adopted as circulated and that same be filed in the Clerk's Office.

THAT Council hereby receives a copy of the February Building Permit Summary and the same be filed in the Clerk's Office.

THAT Council hereby receives the report from the Clerk regarding a Zoning By-law Amendment request from Dan Pogue under Application Z5-22; Administration to bring back a report, Council request more information including a planning opinion from our planner.

THAT Council hereby authorizes Epic Cones the use of Wild Goose Park during the months of April through to October 2024; AND FURTHER THAT Council directs the CAO to execute an operating agreement with Epic Cones, establishing the hours of operation, location within the park, insurance and any other parameters, necessary in order to maintain the general enjoyment and safety of the park by its patrons; AND FURTHER THAT the same be filed in the Clerk's Office.

THAT Council hereby receives the report regarding the Shuniah Helipad Relocation; AND THAT The same be filed in the Clerk's Office.

THAT Council hereby receives copies of both Council and Local Committee 2023 Remuneration and the same be filed in the Clerk's Office.

THAT Council hereby receives and adopts the said Remuneration and Expense policy; AND THAT said policy be filed in the Clerk's Office; AND FURTHER THAT Council directs administration to bring forward a By-law to repeal the Remuneration and Expense By-law 3291-23.

THAT Council hereby receives the report regarding attendances of future conferences; AND THAT Council prepares a detained budget for the calendar year before approving both conferences and board appointments of Council members; AND FURTHER THAT Council first make a decision on the number of Council members to attend a conference before consideration of which Council members will attend.

THAT a by-law to repeal Remuneration and Expense Policy By-law 3291-23 be read a First and Second time this 12th day of March 2024

THAT a by-law to repeal Remuneration and Expense Policy By-law 3291-23 be read a Third and Final time and numbered 3394-24; AND FURTHER THAT the by-law be engrossed in the By-law book.

THAT Council hereby receives the following correspondence: a. Lakehead Region Conservation Authority January Meeting Minutes b. Town of Lincoln Funding for Museums and Libraries Resolution c. Perry Township Resolution regarding Blue Box Regulation and the same be filed in the Clerk's Office.

THAT Council hereby receives a copy of the list of Unfinished Business dated March 8, 2024, and that same be filed in the Clerk’s Office.

THAT a By-law to confirm the proceedings of Council be read a First, Second and Third time on this 12th day of March 2024 and Numbered 3350-24 AND THAT the said By-law be engrossed in the By-law Book.

THAT the hour of 4:50 p.m. having arrived this regular Meeting of Council hereby adjourns.
