Regular Council

THAT this Regular Meeting of Council is hereby called to order at 4:00 p.m.

THAT the agenda be accepted as presented.

THAT the Minutes of the Closed Meeting of Council held May 28, 2024 be adopted as circulated and that same be filed in the Clerk's Office.

THAT the Minutes of the Special Meeting of Council held May 30, 2024 be adopted as circulated and that same be filed in the Clerk's Office.

THAT the Minutes of the Closed Meeting of Council held May 30, 2024 at 4:11 p.m. and the Minutes of the Closed Meeting of Council held May 30, 2024 at 7:27 p.m. be adopted as circulated; AND THAT the same be filed in the Clerk's Office.

THAT the Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council held June 11, 2024 be adopted as circulated and that same be filed in the Clerk's Office.

THAT the Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council held June 24, 2024 be adopted as circulated and that same be filed in the Clerk's Office.

THAT Council hereby receives a copy of the June Building Permit Summary and the same be filed in the Clerk's Office.

THAT Council hereby receives the Shuniah Fire and Emergency Services (SFES) Boot Allowance Policy AND adopts the said Policy as amended - amended to every 3 years; AND THAT the same be filed in the Clerk's Office.

THAT Council hereby receives the Lakehead OPP Detachment Board Remuneration of Ministry Appointments and Levy Allocations for review and approves the proposed remuneration for the members of the Board as follows: • $150 per meeting plus mileage • $300 for full day event plus mileage AND THAT Council directs Administration to review the proposed levy allocations and bring back a recommendation for Council to consider; AND THAT the same be filed at the Clerk's Office.

THAT Council hereby receive the memo regarding the 2024 AMCTO Annual Conference; AND THAT the same be filed in the Clerk's Office.

THAT Council hereby receives the report regarding Setting User Fees for Pavilion Rental for review and approval; 125 1/2 day, 200 full day. AND THAT Council hereby directs Administration to bring forward a by-law to repeal and replace By-law No. 3357-24

THAT Council hereby receives the 2nd quarter budget to actual memo, Statement of Revenue and Expenditures and Balance Sheet for the period ending June 30, 2024 and the same be filed in the Clerk's Office.

THAT Council hereby receives the following correspondence: a. Callander - Resolution re: Resume Assessment Cycle b. Brantford - Resolution re: Ontario Energy Board - End the Gas Pipeline Subsidy c. TBDSSAB - Regular Board Meeting Minutes - May 16, 2024 and the same be filed in the Clerk's Office.

THAT Council hereby receives and supports the resolution from the Township of Otonabee-South Monaghan regarding Regulations for the Importation and Safe Use of Lithium-ion Batteries; AND THAT Council directs the Clerk to forward a copy of this resolution to MPP David Piccini, Minister of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development, MP Patty Hajdu, and MP Marcus Powlowski; AND THAT the same be filed at the Clerk's Office.

THAT Council hereby receives a copy of the list of Unfinished Business dated July 5, 2024, and that same be filed in the Clerk’s Office.

THAT at the hour of 6:20 p.m. Council moves into In-Camera Session.

THAT a By-law to confirm the proceedings of Council be read a First, Second and Third time on this 9th day of July 2024 and Numbered 3368-24 AND THAT the said By-law be engrossed in the By-law Book.
