Regular Council

THAT this Regular Meeting of Council is hereby called to order at 4:01 p.m.

THAT the agenda be accepted as presented.

THAT the Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council held April 8, 2025 be adopted as circulated and that same be filed in the Clerk's Office.

THAT the Minutes of the Closed Meeting of Council held April 8, 2025 be adopted as circulated and that same be filed in the Clerk's Office.

THAT Council hereby accepts the Tender Opening Committee for the tender opening held April 7, 2025 and the same be filed in the Clerk's Office.

THAT Council hereby receives a report from TBT Engineering and a contract for Lakeshore Drive Culvert Replacement be awarded to Allen Equipment Contracting in the amount of $246,142.25 excluding HST and the same be filed in the Clerk's Office.

THAT Council receives the report from the Clerk regarding Indigenous awareness training in the workplace for Council, Committee Members, Volunteers, and Employees of the Municipality of Shuniah; AND THAT Council directs the Clerk to arrange training with ___________________ AND FURTHER THAT expenses be paid according to the Remuneration Policy 3291-23.

THAT Council hereby accepts the January to March 31, 2025 unaudited Statement of Revenue and Expenditures, the Balance Sheet and Memo and the same be filed in the Clerk's Office.

THAT Council hereby receives a copy of the Additional Fire Agreement Grant and agrees to proceed with signing and the same be filed in the Clerk's Office.

THAT Council hereby receives the following correspondence: a. TILSONBURG - Resolution re: Strong Mayor Powers b. SAUGEEN SHORES - Letter re: Opposition to Strong Mayor Powers c. MULMUR - Resolution re: Procurement & Advocacy for Trade Agreement Exemptions d. PELASS - Resolution re: Ontario Works Financial Assistance Rates and the same be filed in the Clerk's Office.

THAT Council hereby receives a copy of the list of Unfinished Business dated April 17, 2025, and that same be filed in the Clerk’s Office.

THAT at the hour of 4:25 p.m. Council moves into In-Camera Session.

THAT at the hour of 4:39 p.m. Council hereby resumes the meeting in open session.

THAT a By-law to confirm the proceedings of Council be read a First, Second and Third time on this 22nd day of April 2025 and Numbered 3416-25 AND THAT the said By-law be engrossed in the By-law Book.

THAT the hour of 4:42 p.m. having arrived this regular Meeting of Council hereby adjourns.
