Regular Council

THAT this Regular Meeting of Council is hereby called to order at 5:00 p.m.

THAT the agenda be accepted as presented.

THAT the Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council held August 11, 2026 be adopted as circulated and that same be filed in the Clerk's Office.

THAT the Minutes of the Closed Meeting of Council held August 11, 2026 be adopted as circulated and that same be filed in the Clerk's Office.

THAT the Minutes of the Special Meeting of Council held September 8, 2026 be adopted as circulated and that same be filed in the Clerk's Office.

THAT Council hereby receives a copy of the tender opening minutes from September 4, 2026 and the same be filed in the Clerk's Office.

THAT Council hereby receives a copy of the August Building Permit Summary and the same be filed in the Clerk's Office.

THAT Council hereby receives the memo from the Fire Chief regarding the New Breathing-Air Compressor with Multi-Cylinder Containment Tender; AND That the Fire Chief recommends the tender for F2026-1 - One (1) New Breathing-Air Compressor with Multi-Cylinder Containment be awarded to Trans Canada Safety in the amount of $63,839.22 excluding HST; AND That the same be filed at the Clerk Office.

THAT Council approves the closure of the Municipal Office, Public Works Shop and Fire Department Administration from Thursday December 24, 2026 up to and including January 1, 2027. AND THAT regular business will recommence on Monday, January 4, 2027. AND FURTHER THAT the Public Works staff and Fire Department are available through out this time as required.

THAT a by-law to authorize the Treasurer/Deputy Clerk on behalf of the Municipality to enter into an agreement for NORDS funding is hereby read a First and Second time this 22nd day of September 2026.

THAT a by-law to authorize the Treasurer/Deputy Clerk on behalf of the Municipality to enter into an agreement for NORDS funding is hereby read a Third and Final time this 22nd day of September 2026 and numbered 3506-26 AND FURTHER THAT the said By-law be engrossed in the By-law Book.

THAT Council hereby receives the following correspondence: a. (1) Letter re: Franco-Ontarian Day 2026 (EN) a. (2) Letter re :Journée des Franco-Ontariens 2026 (FR) b. MMAH - Letter re Municipal Accountability Act Commenting Period c. Solicitor General - Letter re: OPP Policing Costs d. NOMA Letter re: VIA Rail e. LRCA - 2027 Draft Budget Documents f. LRCA - Minutes - May 27th 2026 & June 25th 2026 g. Wasaga Beach - Resolution re: Finlay's Law on Emergency Room Reform and the same be filed in the Clerk's Office.

THAT Council hereby receives a copy of the list of Ongoing Business dated Sept 22 2026, and that same be filed in the Clerk’s Office.

THAT at the hour of 5:55 p.m. Council moves into In-Camera Session.

THAT at the hour of 6:20 p.m. Council hereby resumes the meeting in open session.

THAT a By-law to confirm the proceedings of Council be read a First, Second and Third time on this 22nd day of September 2026 and Numbered 3507-26; AND THAT the said By-law be engrossed in the By-law Book.

THAT the hour of 6:21 p.m. having arrived this regular Meeting of Council hereby adjourns.
